After the Mid-Autumn Festival, we’ll have the National Day holiday next Monday.

Our National Day was set up to commemorate the founding date of the People’s Republic of China - October 1st, 1949.
It is interesting that the National Day in ancient China is only to celebrate the Emperor’s birthday and the date he ascended the throne.

And it’s one of the longest holidays in China. Most of the Chinese people will have 7 days off for it, which makes it also been called as the “Golden Week”.

Suntan sales will only take one day off on October 1st, then get back to normal work the next day.
But kindly notice that our factory staffs will still have a vacation for 7 days. That might affect lead time a bit.
So, if you have any order plans lately, please contact us and place them asap. Thank you!

Dear Customers,

The time of Moon Festival has come again. Suntan usually follow Hong Kong public holidays, but this time we make a change, the sales office will have a day off on 24th, September and work on 25th, September. The logistic department will be closed on 25th, September but work on 24th, September. We will not arrange the shipment on both of these two days. If you have any question about the shipment, please contact with your sales or send an e-mail to sales@suntan.com.hk.

For maintaining the sustainable development of the environment, Suntan decided to stop sending any paper card for Christmas and new year. Instead, we will design some electronic cards as a replacement from this year. I believe our valued clients would fully understand our situation and support us to make a better world through this way.

Our old customers may know, that Suntan’s holidays are always following HK government’s regulations before. However, this year Suntan management made a little change on the Mid-Autumn Festival holiday. Normally we will have one day public holiday on the next day of the Festival. This year it will be adjusted to the day of Festival on Sep. 24 for Administrative and Sales Dept.. For Logistics dept. it would be still the same on Sep. 25 as former. That is to say, on both Sep. 24 and Sep. 25 no shipment can be arranged. Just do not worry as we will do the best to eliminate or reduce the impact.

On June 18th, we had a one-day holiday for the Dragon Boat Festival which is one of the 4 traditional Chinese folk festivals. This festival is originated in the ancient China and in the year of 2006, it became the first Chinese national holiday to be declared as a world intangible cultural heritage. 

Nowadays, in every fifth day of the fifth lunar month, we’ll have the Dragon Boat races and eat glutinous rice dumplings to commemorate a national hero Qu Yuan. There is also different custom in different regions of China, such as drinking realgar wine or flying kites, etc. in some places.

Buddha’s birthday is coming, do you know what is Buddha’s birthday? Let me introduce to you. Buddha’s birthday is a traditionally holidays celebrated in most of East Asia to commemorate the birth of the Buddha. In China, Hong Kong, and Korea, we celebrated on the eighth day of the fourth month in the Chinese lunar calendar. In Hong Kong, people will go temple to pay their respects and lanterns are light to symbolize the Buddha’s enlightenment. 

In Hong Kong, Buddha's birthday is a public holiday, so Suntan sales office will close on 22th, May,2018. Your e-mail will be check after we return back to work on 23th, May. Sorry for any inconvenience caused.

Mother's Day is coming! Have you decided how to celebrate this meaningful day with dear Mom? Here are some suggestions for you! You can buy a cake, with hand-made cards and have a deliciouse meal with Mom together. Or you can leave city and go out for a picnic and camping, enjoy the fresh air and some interesting activities with all of your family. Even you give Mom a call, tell her how much you love her and how much you thank her will be a great idea if you can’t stay with her on this day!
