With the trend of portable electronic products, chip product demand gradually increase, Tantalum is no exception. It is learned that the traditional lead tantalum capacitor market demand has decreased year by year, chip tantalum capacitor market demand will increase year by year. Dealers said that despite the high prices of tantalum capacitors because of the market share in the capacitance ceramic capacitors and aluminum eroded, but also the development of its own saved for the long-term stability of the environment, which cater to the development trend of electronic products, chip on their products dominated by reversing the very most of the market.

It is learned that global chip tantalum electrolytic capacitors of the chip rate has been 71% in 1995, the current development of the chip rate was over 90%. Its greatest application in the field of mobile phones, accounting for about 36.2%, use increased from 5 to 20pcs on each cell phone. Another AV audio-visual products and notebook computer is an important application areas of chip tantalum capacitor, which accounted for 32% and 15.1%.

The industry has said that prices of tantalum capacitors is the major issues of restricting its market share, it is understood that the greatest threat to its current MLCC, the market reflects that, at present, MLCC and tantalum capacitors is between 1.0 to 100uF market competition. According to the dealers, in recent years, tantalum capacitor lost 10% of the market share, of which 6% of the ceramic capacitor occupies 3% of the aluminum capacitor possession, other devices accounted for 1%. Varistor is one kinds of transient voltage suppression devices which can be used instead of transient suppression diodes, zener diode and capacitor combination. Varistor IC and other devices can protect the circuit, to prevent electrostatic discharge, surges and other transient current (such as lightning, etc.) the damage caused by them. Simply use varistors and connected to the protected circuit IC or device, when the voltage value above a certain moment, the varistor resistance decreased rapidly, conducting high current, thereby protecting the IC or electrical equipment; when the voltage is lower than the varistor voltage value, the varistor resistance high, almost open, and thus will not affect the device or the normal operation of electrical equipment.

From the year of 2010, with the order increased sharply, our production lines are always overload and the delivery schedule is longer than former accordingly. Our management realized the importance and emergency of the availability of stocks, and decided to keep stock for some common series. The lead time of tantalum capacitor are extremely long, and the current requirement from the market for our TS08S X2 capacitor is fairly well, as a result we chose these 2 series as a starting.
